General description

Variegated Parmigiano is a sativa-dominant F1 hybrid that crosses the mutant Variegated Sour GPP line with the Cheesus Christ Cut. Most plants develop classic cannabis foliage with striking white-and-green variegation, along with crested and crinkled textures. Due to the Mentha de Croco ancestry in Guave Mezcal, rare Ducksfoot and smooth-edged Ducksfoot phenotypes may also appear.

Aroma & flavour

A distinctly cheesy profile with a deep, skunky core. Creamy, buttery cheese leads into herbal and earthy nuances, complemented by hints of sour candy. Ripe-lemon acidity and a touch of mild fuel balance the sweetness. Freshly harvested flowers have also been described as intensely sour and sweet, with a pronounced cheese-like character that is expected to develop further during curing.

This variety is best suited to experienced growers and dedicated botanical enthusiasts. Variegated and crinkled plants generally develop more slowly than green phenotypes, while albino seedlings can survive only when grafted onto green rootstock. Outdoor organic cultivation has shown that slow early development may be followed by strong acceleration after the fifth internode. Plants have also responded particularly well to mulching and fermented fertilisers.

Because variegation is itself a natural stress factor, these plants may have a higher risk of developing hermaphroditic traits. Successful indoor cultivation without hermaphroditism is possible, but careful environmental management is recommended.

Once switched to flowering, plants stretch extensively—typically reaching two to three times their previous height. Flowering finishes within 9–11 weeks, with yields ranging from moderate to exceptionally large depending on the amount of green tissue present.

Plants are sensitive to strong winds and moisture on their white leaf tissue. Expect a mixture of variegated, crinkled, crested and albino-variegated phenotypes, predominantly with classic leaf shapes. Rare Ducksfoot and smooth-edged Ducksfoot expressions may occur in approximately 2% of plants.

As a general feeding guide: the whiter the plant, the lighter its nutrient requirements; plants with more green leaf tissue tend to feed more heavily.
